Return Policy

Wanting to highlight the benefits of using the internet in our daily purchases, below we present the terms and conditions for returning defective or non-defective products.

Product Returns due to Wrong Delivery

In all cases where different products are delivered, in terms of type or quantity, or if a property that was previously agreed upon in writing with the COMPANY is missing, the customer returns the products for inspection and verification of the error. In this case, the return shipping costs to the company and the re-shipping costs to the customer will be borne by the COMPANY, provided that the recommended return method by the company is followed.

Returns of Defective Products

If it is found that the item has a manufacturing defect, provided that this is confirmed by the authorized repair technician who provides the warranty or if geekverse.gr itself directly provides the warranty, the following applies:

The warranty is provided for a limited period, as indicated in the detailed characteristics of the product. After this period or after repair, replacement of the products is possible with an additional charge following a new agreement with the customer.

The returned product for replacement should be sent along with all the documents that accompanied the product (e.g., receipt, retail receipt, etc.) and its full packaging. If the defect was discovered after delivery and the packaging is no longer available, or if the product’s packaging was taken by the distributors upon delivery, the product’s packaging is not required.

The return of the products will be carried out either with the company’s own personnel and transportation means, via courier, or at one of the stores operated by geekverse.gr under the brand name “geekverse.gr” nationwide. In the case of returns via courier, the customer bears the shipping costs to the COMPANY, and geekverse.gr bears the costs of shipping the replaced or repaired product.

After the return of the products, the reported defect is inspected, and the customer is contacted for information about the results of the inspection.

If the defect is confirmed, the product is repaired or replaced; otherwise, the transaction is canceled if it is not possible to repair the product within a reasonable time and no equivalent or better product or one of equal value can be found by the COMPANY for replacement. In the case of a canceled transaction, the refund for the initial purchase will be made using the same method with which the payment was originally made by the customer to the COMPANY.

Specifically, in the case of payment by credit card, geekverse.gr will be obligated to notify the issuing bank about the cancellation of the transaction, and the bank will then carry out any actions required under the agreement made with the customer, with no further responsibility for the COMPANY. After this notification, geekverse.gr is no longer responsible for the timing and manner of the chargeback, which is regulated by the aforementioned agreement. In the case of payment by cash, if the customer had chosen the “pickup from store” option, the refund will be made at any of the COMPANY’s stores. In the case of payment via bank transfer, a reverse bank transfer will be made from the COMPANY’s accounts to the customer.

If the returned products are damaged or incomplete, the online store has the right to request compensation from the customer, the amount of which will be determined by the condition of the products, and it can proceed unilaterally and without further notice to offset its claim against the customer in full or in part.

Returns of Products Considered Defective Upon Delivery (DOA)

The return of products considered defective upon delivery (DOA) will be accepted within seven (7) calendar days from the delivery date to the customer. At the same time, the product must not be damaged and must include all the original documents that accompanied the product (e.g., receipt, retail receipt, etc.) and its full packaging. The following applies in such cases:

The product will be received and inspected to verify the defect reported by the CUSTOMER.

Provided that these products have been received and inspected by the COMPANY, they will be replaced with a new identical item, or if unavailable, with another new product of equivalent quality and price. If the customer does not wish a replacement, a refund of the original purchase price will be made to the customer. The refund will be made using the same method with which the payment was initially made by the customer to the COMPANY.

Specifically, in the case of payment by credit card, geekverse.gr will be obliged to notify the issuing bank about the cancellation of the transaction, and the bank will then take all necessary actions based on the contract with the customer, without any responsibility for the COMPANY. After this notification, geekverse.gr bears no responsibility for the timing and manner of the chargeback, which is regulated by the aforementioned contract. In the case of payment by cash, if the customer had chosen the “pickup from store” option, the refund will be made at any of the COMPANY’s stores. In the case of payment by bank transfer, a reverse bank transfer will be made from the COMPANY’s accounts to the customer.

The shipping costs for the return of the products to the COMPANY and for the re-shipping of the replaced product to the CUSTOMER will be borne by the COMPANY.

If the returned products are damaged or incomplete, the online store has the right to request compensation from the customer, the amount of which will be determined by the condition of the products, and to proceed unilaterally and without further notice to offset its claim against the customer in full or in part.

In the case of air conditioning units, a visit from the authorized service technician of the supplying company is required, along with a written certification of the device’s fault diagnosis, in order for the product to be considered defective upon delivery (DOA).

Return of Non-Defective Products – Customer’s Right of Unjustified Withdrawal

The CUSTOMER has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within a period of 14 calendar days from the date of conclusion of the service contract (when it is a service contract), or from the delivery date (when it is a product), and in the case of multiple products in the same order, from the delivery of the last one, and in the case of periodic product deliveries, from the delivery of the first. Withdrawal is made under the following conditions:

This withdrawal is without justification and without any charge. If the item has already been delivered, the customer must return the product in the exact condition in which it was received, with all its components, accompanying documents, and packaging in perfect condition. The return of the item will only be accepted if the buyer has first paid any amount charged to the company for the delivery of the item and the return shipping costs.

The withdrawal statement must be made in writing or electronically, and geekverse.gr is obliged to send confirmation of the receipt of the withdrawal statement once it has been received.

Following the withdrawal statement, geekverse.gr is obliged to refund the amount received within 14 days of receiving the products.

Shipping costs for delivery will not be refunded if the customer chose a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method offered by the COMPANY.

The refund to the customer will be made using the same method as the original payment. Specifically, in the case of a credit card charge, as follows: if the price has been paid to the COMPANY by the Bank before the cancellation and return of the product, geekverse.gr will be obliged to inform the Bank about the cancellation of the transaction, and the bank will proceed with the actions as stipulated in the contract it has with the customer. The company, after this notification, will have no responsibility for the timing and method of executing the chargeback, which is governed by the aforementioned contract. In the case of cash payment, if the customer had chosen the “pickup from the store” option, the refund will be made at the store where the product was picked up. In the case of bank transfer, the refund will also be made by a bank transfer to the same account of the customer.

The customer is responsible for compensating the company if they used the product in a way other than what is necessary to ascertain the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods until the declaration of withdrawal. The verification of the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods must be based on the information provided on the external packaging of each product, as well as the supplementary information provided by the company, without opening the packaging or putting the product into operation. The company is willing to provide the customer with any necessary information regarding the nature and functioning of the products through electronic or other means. If the packaging is opened or the products are put into operation, their value will automatically decrease as the product will be considered used, and the customer is obliged to compensate the company for the reduction in value. The reduction in value from opening the packaging and the subsequent classification of the product as used is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and determined by the company, usually ranging from 20%-30%. geekverse.gr reserves the right to agree with the customer on compensation, including mutual offsetting.

If the withdrawal concerns the provision of services, the customer must pay an amount proportional to the services provided up until the declaration of withdrawal.

If the products are returned damaged or incomplete, the online store has the right to seek compensation from the customer, the amount of which will be determined based on the condition of the products, and proceed with unilateral and unopposed total or partial offsetting of the claim against the customer.

Exceptions to Withdrawal

No withdrawal is allowed in the following cases:

• Service contracts after the full provision of the service, if the execution began with the customer’s explicit prior consent and the customer’s recognition that they will lose the right to withdrawal once the contract is fully executed by the supplier.
• Products that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed after delivery, such as personal care items (e.g., but not limited to, hair removal machines, shavers – cutting – grooming machines, brushes, toothbrushes, and thermometers, etc.).
• Contracts where the consumer has requested a special visit from the supplier for urgent repairs or maintenance work. If, during such a visit, the supplier provides services beyond those specifically requested by the consumer or goods other than the spare parts used in the maintenance or repair work, the right to withdrawal applies to these additional services or goods.
• Sale of sealed products that have been opened.

Order Cancellation

The consumer may cancel any special pre-order they have already submitted via the online store within 24 hours from the time of submission. Cancellation of pre-orders can be made either by phone, via the customer service line (+30 6940311353), or by email at [email protected].

After the 24-hour period for pre-orders, the company will not accept any cancellation and is not obligated to refund any payments. Specifically, the company reserves the right to withhold any deposit the consumer may have made, regardless of the refusal to receive the products.

Safe Products – Warranty Terms

The products offered by the COMPANY are durable products that have the necessary certification for safe operation. The products come with written instructions for use (except for simple-to-use products) and a written warranty for good operation of a reasonable duration. The warranty of the device lasts as per the manufacturer’s terms from the date of purchase and allows for free repair of the problem, provided the following conditions are met:

The warranty from the authorized representative and proof of purchase of the device must be present.

The device’s serial number and other permanent identifiers must not have been altered.

The warranty does not exclude the defect based on the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
